Farming at Downlands
Downlands is a historic, family-run estate on the Surrey–Hampshire border, with roots dating back to 1550. We farm with the aim of producing outstanding-quality food while having a net positive impact on the environment.
Our approach is grounded in regenerative farming, working with nature to restore soil health, biodiversity, and ecosystems. We produce 100% grass-fed beef and lamb, pasture-raised eggs, woodland-raised turkeys and pork- along with Sika venison. Our meat has depth of flavour and enhanced nutritional value, thanks to the systems that we rear our animals in- allowing animals to live natural, low-stress lives. We will launch the UK’s first pasture-raised egg brand this summer.
Beyond the farm, Downlands is actively helping to drive the regenerative farming movement forward. We work in partnership with The Ethical Butcher, the UK’s market leader in high-welfare meat.
